Performances and Shows in Tbilisi

At the beginning of March, I bought a ticket to a ballet I had been dreaming of attending. The Tbilisi Ballet Company was to perform La Bayadere at the Opera and Ballet Theater of Tbilisi. I had been wanting to go to this ballet since my early teens. I immediately bought a ticket. The Opera and Ballet Theater of Tbilisi is a historical theater with the most beautiful interior, so I was excited to experience the show and the architecture. The ballet was stunning, and the ballet company's talent was incredible. The interior of the theatre was more than I imagined, with a beautiful ceiling, gilded box seats, and colorfully tiled walls. This experience made me return to the Georgian ticket site and purchase three more tickets for different performances. I bought tickets to Erisioni, a Georgian dance show, Otello opera, and Sleeping Beauty ballet.

I attended Erisioni in late March. I went in with no prior knowledge of traditional Georgian dance. The show was in two parts, with a multitude of different dances and costumes throughout. There were also Georgian singers performing all the songs for the dances, plus extra in-between dances. The crowd was also vivacious, so I enjoyed being able to clap and cheer during the show. The dances and songs were incredible and would recommend to anyone visiting to see a Georgian dance performance while in Georgia.

I am excited to attend the other two performances here, and I have fell in love with the arts in Tbilisi.
